Event Printing – Printing for your Special Event or Occassion
Planning for an Event can be stressful – here at Printing Mallorca we do our utmost to assist you to reach your Event deadlines.
However it is important to kindly note that we are ‘Printers’ and not ‘Event Organisers’. 🙂
We are blessed to have many clients all planning for their Events with tight deadlines. For this reason we would like to provide you with everything you need to know in order for you to ‘plan’ and ‘prepare’ and ensure that your print is delivered in plenty of time for your Event.
All of our print products have ‘expected delivery dates’ (the same as all Printers worldwide) – this is because there are circumstances ‘out of our control’ such as machinery breaking down or courier delays.
98% of our print arrives on time … however if you are planning for an important Event, you need to take these things into account. Planning is very important when you have a specific date that you need your print by.
Please take some time to think about the following:
Expected Delivery Dates
If your Event is taking place on the 14th of the month for example – make sure to give yourself at least 5 to 7 working days ‘free’ to allow for any delays i.e. machinery breaking down, courier delays for example.
Aim to have everything ready 5 to 7 working days before your event deadline so that everything has an ‘expected delivery date’ in plenty of time and not 1 day before your Event.
You will then have clear days knowing that you have everything in plenty of time and should there be in any issues hopefully these days will be of benefit to you.
Product Production Times
Every product has a ‘production time’ some are faster than others and sometimes you will have the option to pay extra for ‘Express’ – please always ask if you need Express, even if it isn’t offered on the website for your product.
If a product has an ‘expected delivery’ of 4 working days – you will need to take into account that the production days ‘only start’ from when your product artwork has been signed off.
Your product artwork has to be signed off before 10.30am to be able to include that day as a production day.
Production days ‘are working days’ – we are open Monday to Friday but do not work at the weekends or public holidays.
Artwork Templates
Your artwork needs to be submitted in pdf format, or vector format with the correct size including 3mm bleed all the way round the artwork. There must be ‘no crop marks’ or else these will be printed.
Please click here for further information on artwork bleeds and click here for our standard artwork templates.
For custom templates please contact us.
We offer artwork templates ‘for every product’ .
If you submit artwork that isn’t ‘print ready’ this will delay you – as it will take time for you to correct your artwork.
To save you time make sure to leave enough time to create your artwork on our template and also to give our Production Team enough time to check your files and for you to have time to correct them if you need to.
Artwork checks can take up to 24 to 48 hours during our busy periods – please kindly allow time for this.
Prior Planning Prevents Emergencies…. 🙂
First you will need to work out the day which is 5 to 7 working days before your Event – this is the day you need to have all of your required products with ‘Expected delivery on or before this day’.
Please ask us for the ‘Expected Delivery Dates’ for each product (all of our products detail this in the description), if you are unsure – please ask us.
Work backwards on a calendar using the production days ‘time frame’ and then make sure you leave time for the artwork check, 24 to 48 hours.
This will give you the perfect opportunity to meet ‘your’ deadlines.
Please kindly remember that Your Event is your responsibility and we will do everything in our power to meet our production times to ensure that your Event is a success.
